Concept
In groups of two, the task for the module was to simply create a prototype for a board game, starting from ideation, paper prototyping and eventually producing a playable version. For our board game "Boulder Barrage", Erja and I had the initial ideas of having information hidden from each player and having movement mechanics similar to chess, which resulted in this game. The goal is to try to catch the opponent's king piece. Boulders can be placed by minions on your own board and are placed at the same location on the opponent's board. By carefully analyzing opponent's attack patterns, it is possible to deduct the position of the opponent's pieces.
