Sailing Zodiacs is a text-based multi-linear space-adventure written and edited by the collective efforts of five students of the bachelor game design at the Zurich University of the Arts. Dive into the exciting yet dreadful reality which is the Zodiac Sector as a delivery man on a mission. Will you make it or end up stranded in space? From: itch.io

Created for the Interactive Storytelling module, we wanted to create a text-based game that would make use of ASCII characters only and run in a console window. Because we were unsatisfied with existing multi-linear text engines, I wrote a custom system that was aimed towards being as easy to use as possible.

Very late in development, we experimented with porting the game to the web, which then prompted me to port the text engine over to Unity to be able to make a WebGL build. During this transition, the text engine part was rewritten to be platform agnostic, making it possible to use in any environment that supports .NET.
