Inspired by swiss shopping malls built in the 1970s and 1980s, this project is a walkthrough of a fictional aviation-themed shopping mall set near Zurich Airport. Waking up in the middle of a TV store, the viewer finds himself stranded, looking for a way out. Guided by light and sound, the viewer explores the mall, eventually realizing that the entire structure is stuck in an infinite time loop.

Since the project is heavily inspired by real-world shopping malls, we used several reference images and our own recollections of malls we visited in the past across Switzerland to capture the essence of these places. The main references were the Glattzentrum in Wallisellen and the Letzipark in Zurich. The project also leaned towards so-called Liminal Spaces, since malls are often featured in such images, characterized by their eerie, deserted atmosphere.
