During our skill week, we were given roughly four days to create an installation using lights and color. As a group of three, we knew from early on that we wanted to try and create something that we thought to be unique.
During our brainstorming phase I initially pitched the idea of using two beamers to project a game world into the corner of the room with a cube in the middle. The following day, we experimented with that idea, trying various different techniques. Through the creative inputs from the others we then improved the initial idea by hanging a single beamer from the ceiling which allowed for all three sides to be mapped while also removing the cube's shadow on the walls. Once the positions of the cube and the beamer were fixed, we then created a template image in photoshop which each of us then used to make our own 30 second animation.

My segment "Immersive Dungeon" was rendered in Blender, using textures for a dungeon in a mod I once created for the game Minecraft.
The project resulted in an installation which felt immersive, allowing visitors to walk inside the projected area.
I highly doubt that this installation would have become this good if I had to do it all by myself and I really appreciated our combined efforts to realize this project.

Render challenges
Events | 2022
The ZHdK Render Challenge is an event that was frequently organized by students from the Bachelor Cast. You are given 90 minutes to create any kind of 3D rendering based on a predetermined topic.
After having learned Blender a few weeks prior I decided to attend the monthly render challenges, starting in summer of 2022.
As of Summer 2023, the Render Challenge was handed over to a fellow Game Design student.
The renderings below are sorted from first to last.
